One senior developer, from first call to launch
Anne Schmidt Co. is a founder-led studio. I'm Anne, and I'm the person who scopes your project, writes the code, and answers your emails. There are no account managers and no hand-offs to junior developers.
Before building websites full-time, I studied finance and accounting at the University of Virginia, then worked in investment banking at Citigroup and corporate strategy at Disney. That's why my proposals come with clear budgets, phased options, and the kind of reasoning your CFO, board or business partners will expect.
I've been building websites full-time since 2013, including 390+ WordPress projects on Codeable and long-term clients ranging from commercial real estate firms and resorts to national nonprofits.
Websites that do the heavy lifting
From immersive storytelling for former Disney Imagineers and a medical device launch to commercial real estate search, built for teams that rely on their website every day.

Common questions
No. WordPress is my focus because it handles complex content and custom functionality well, but I also build and maintain sites on Webflow, Squarespace, and Shopify, and develop custom sites and apps in React and Next.js. I'll recommend whichever platform fits your team and budget.
Most custom builds and redesigns fall between $5,000 and $20,000, depending on design, custom functionality, and how much content needs to move. Accessibility audits start at $1,500, and care plans at $199 a month. You'll get a written proposal with the full price before any work starts, with phased options if that helps your budget.
Yes. Many of my clients come to me with sites built by someone else, often after their developer stopped responding. I start with a review to find risky plugins, outdated code, and missing backups, then fix anything urgent.
Your team gets training and written documentation. After that, care plans are optional: you can join one for updates, backups, monitoring, and included development hours, or just call on me as needed.
Yes. Most of my clients are elsewhere in Texas and across the US, including organizations in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Oklahoma, as well as international organizations.
